Coach Tidwell grew up in Peaster, Texas, where she played club softball and competed at the varsity level in basketball, volleyball, and track during her high school years. She continued to play volleyball in college while working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Studies from Tarleton State University. Coach Tidwell has been an educator and coach for over ten years, and for more than eight years, she has been teaching physical education classes and coaching at Fort Worth Academy. In her spare time, she continues to play softball and volleyball in area leagues.
Matthew Becker
MS Soccer / 6th grade Math / 6th grade English
B.S., Education, Texas Christian University
Coach Becker grew up just north of Kansas City, MO in a smaller town called Smithville. He began playing sports at an early age, playing baseball and basketball in leagues starting in 3rd grade and learning golf as a hobby. His love of sports grew through high school where he played varsity level football, basketball and golf. Coach Becker continued to play recreational and intramural sports at TCU where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He still enjoys playing golf as often as possible.
Feliciano Delapaz
Physical Education / Chess Coordinator
Major in Business, Colorado Technical University
Coach Delapaz is proud to be a Naturalized Citizen, having been born in Angono, Rizal in the Philippines. He moved to Point Mugu Naval Air Station near Oxnard, California, in 1979 with his family. While in high school, Coach Delapaz excelled in track and field, bowling, volleyball, soccer, baseball and chess. After graduating from Junipero Serra High School he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving with distinction as a part of the relief effort after hurricane Hugo and as a member of the security team for the combat engineers near Kuwait during the first Gulf War. Coach Delapaz founded the Scholastic Chess Association in Region II and serves as a tournament director.
Bret Hendrickson
MS Football / 7th – 8th grade Basketball / 6th grade World History / 6th grade Science
B.S., Meteorology, University of Oklahoma
Coach Hendrickson has been active in sports for most of his life. Growing up in Kansas, he played competitive soccer and baseball on traveling teams until he was 18. During his high school years in Kansas, he started on the varsity football, basketball, and track teams for three years. Coach Hendrickson continues to play golf and compete in basketball and baseball leagues in Fort Worth, and, when he has the opportunity, he enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Marc Hendrickson
MS Football /7th – 8th grade Girls Basketball
Majoring in Communications (2012), University of Phoenix
Coach Hendrickson grew up in a small town in Kansas. At an early age, he was interested in sports and played competitive soccer and baseball until he was in high school. During the high school years, Coach Hendrickson started in varsity football, basketball and track for three years. He also competed in and won the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championship. In his spare time, he continues to be very active in sports.
Mauricio Rodriguez
7th - 8th grade Soccer

Coach Rodriguez is passionate about education and soccer. He played select soccer growing up in Maryland where he was the first freshman to earn a varsity letter for his school in soccer and went on to become a four-year member of the men’s soccer team at George Washington University. He now plays men’s soccer and is the captain and manager for the “Ladies and Geezermen” a coed indoor soccer team. Coach Rodriguez has also coached a recreation team in the Fort Worth Youth Soccer League. In 2007, he earned the level “E” (U12-U14) coaching license from the North Texas State Soccer Association, of the United States Soccer Federation. Coach Rodriguez is a Professor of Finance and Real Estate, Beasley Faculty Fellow, and the Chair of the Department of Finance in the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University (TCU).
