For the past 30 years, the generous gifts and contributions from parents, faculty, staff,  alumni, grandparents, and friends of FWA have helped propel Fort Worth Academy into the global arena as an international model of 21st century education. 

As with any independent school, tuition does not cover the full cost of operating Fort Worth Academy. Financial support is essential for our school to carry out its mission and maintain high-quality programs. For this reason, each year, parents, friends, staff and alumni are asked to make an annual donation. There are also opportunities to participate in fundraising events on a yearly basis. Dollars from these events are either specified for a particular area or support the current operating budget. Fundraising events and activities serve as a community builder bringing together families and staff for the benefit of the students.

Your gift to FWA makes a positive difference for our students and for our community. No gift is too small, nor is a gift too large. Each gift is a show of support for the school. This show of support is very important to us. A high participation rate from our school community also helps Fort Worth Academy raise funds from outside sources such as businesses, foundations and individual philanthropists.

 

Did you know?

• Like most independent schools, tuition at FWA usually covers 65-75% of the operating costs for our school.
• Annual Giving supports the operating budget and helps provide teacher salaries, books, classroom supplies, equipment, maintenance costs, etc.
• 100% of the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff contribute to Annual Giving.
• About every ten years there is a capital campaign that focuses on major items such as buildings or endowments.
• Independent schools rely on volunteers and parent involvement to maintain their academic excellence.
