Each year, families and friends of Fort Worth Academy gather for the fundraising gala, Extravaganza. It is the single largest fundraising event at FWA.
Funds raised at Extravaganza go directly to support the academics, arts and athletics within the school. This festive evening includes silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing.
Extravaganza provides a variety of opportunities for donations. Supporting businesses and individuals donate goods and services that can be auctioned during the event. Donations of design work, printing, party favors and in-kind donations are also sought. Families and friends are encouraged to be a sponsor of the event and buy ads for the bid book. Volunteers who want to work on this event are always appreciated.
C’est Magnifique! Extravaganza 2011
The Ashton Depot was the setting for C’est Magnifique – Extravaganza 2011. Scheduled for Saturday evening, 26 March, the event featured a colorful and creative Parisian theme.
A vast array of enticing student art projects, enviable privileges, spectacular vacation destinations, attractive home décor and accessories, stunning clothing, vintage wines and glittering jewelry were available for bid at silent and live auctions. Everyone enjoyed a sumptuous dinner with family and friends and danced the night away to the rhythmic beat of The Heat.
A drawing was held for the winner’s choice of one of three trips to Paris, one of which included a side trip to Prague.
C’est Magnifique was chaired by Tammi Gilley and Shannon Collins; and their work was supported by a large cadre of enthusiastic and energetic group of parents and volunteers. Would you like to help the 2012 Extravaganza Committee? Do you have an item you would like to donate for auction? Underwriting opportunities are also available. It is not too late – contact Angela at astrittmatter@fwacademy.org.
