Challenged to Grow, Inspired to Lead

In our Lower School, students don’t just learn about the world, they engage with it. Grounded in our signature Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Innovation (ELI) initiative, our program challenges children to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and solve real-world problems from the earliest grades. Whether designing prototypes, launching passion projects, or leading classroom initiatives, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and make meaningful contributions to their community.

We believe in learning by doing, not filling out worksheets. Through rich, interdisciplinary project-based learning that begins in kindergarten, students explore essential questions and tackle authentic challenges that spark curiosity and build confidence. Each experience is designed to stretch students’ thinking, inspire innovation, and cultivate empathy.

To support this dynamic approach, our program blends self-contained and departmental models, meeting students where they are developmentally while preparing them for future academic success. Daily instruction in language arts, reading, and mathematics forms the academic core, enriched by social studies, design thinking, and STEAM lessons within the homeroom. Students benefit from daily physical education, biweekly science and Spanish, and weekly enrichment classes in visual arts, music, ELI Lab, and library—each reinforcing creativity, self-awareness, and collaboration.

Technology instruction begins early, with coding and skill-based digital tools integrated throughout the curriculum to build digital literacy and responsible tech habits. Recess and physical education reinforce social-emotional learning by emphasizing teamwork, respectful competition, and healthy communication.

In our Lower School, students are not just prepared for what's next—they are inspired to lead with purpose, explore with passion, and grow into the innovators and problem-solvers the world needs.
