Tuition and fees make it possible for Fort Worth Academy to provide one of the best private school educations available, with small class sizes and leading-edge technology in each classroom. Every winter, the Fort Worth Academy Board of Trustees determines the tuition for the following school year.
Grades K through 4th: $25,896

Our Innovative Approach to Tuition and Affordability
As Fort Worth faces big changes in education, FWA is stepping up to keep exceptional learning affordable for families who Imagine more for their children. To meet this moment with both innovation and intention, we are implementing two updates for the year ahead:
What is Tailored Tuition?
This approach allows us to more precisely match tuition to the circumstances of families who qualify for assistance. This does not change our admissions standards or our expectations for students; it simply ensures that mission-aligned families who are a strong fit for FWA can access the education we provide.
Participation in TEFA
FWA will participate in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program, allowing eligible families to apply TEFA funds toward tuition. This step offers additional stability for families who are already committed to our mission and values.
How to Apply for Tailored Tuition
We strive to provide resources to make our exceptional education affordable. Tuition assistance decisions are based on information applicant families provide to Clarity. Tuition assistance awards are made to qualified students who have enrolled. Awards are made by our Tuition Assistance Committee and are strictly confidential. Tuition assistance is funded by FWA and must be applied for annually. Applying for tuition assistance has no impact on admission decisions. Please be aware that the amount available for tuition assistance is limited and is awarded to qualified recipients on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning families will not be considered for tuition assistance until their current year’s account is up to date.
Tailored Tuition Assistance Application and Deadlines
Log in or create a new account with Clarity, our third-party partner, to submit your need-based tuition assistance application and follow the easy steps. Their streamlined system automatically transfers your 1040 and W2 documents from the previous year, so you will not need to upload them manually. The deadlines for submitting your application are as follows:
Kindergarten, Early Decision: November 18, 2025
New Kindergarten Families: January 16, 2026
Current FWA families: January 30, 2026
New 1st-8th grade families: February 13, 2026
Submit and pay the application fee ($60). This fee is nonrefundable.
Tuition Payment Options
- Payment in full, early June
- Payment of 50% of the tuition, due early June and the balance in early November.
- Eight (8) monthly payments.
Additional Fees
- Student Fee
- Lower School: $870
- Middle School: $1,140
- Tuition Protection Plan: $350 (optional for full pay)
- Tuition Administrative Fee: $400 (not required for full pay)
- Middle School Class Trips: $600 - $1,500
- Middle School Athletic Fee: $100 - $200 per sport (participants only)
Before and After School Care
- Offered for all grades, K–8.
- Before School Care: $10/day for students arriving between 7:00 and 7:45 AM.
After School Care (a.k.a. Later Blazers) for Grades K-4: $15 per student flat rate. Available from 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM. (Lower School students not picked up by 3:15 PM will be sent to After Care and $15 charged to the family's account.)
- After School Study Hall for Grades 5-8: $15 per student flat rate. Available from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. (Middle School students not picked up by 3:30 will be sent to Study Hall and the family account charged $15.)
