Tuition and fees make it possible for Fort Worth Academy to provide one of the best private school educations available, with small class sizes and leading-edge technology in each classroom. Every winter, the Fort Worth Academy Board of Trustees determines the tuition for the following school year.
Grades K through 4th: $25,896
Grades 5th through 8th: $26,936
Tuition Payment Options
- Payment in full, early June
- Payment of 50% of the tuition, due early June and the balance in early November.
- Eight (8) monthly payments.

- Lower School: $870
- Middle School: $1,140
- Tuition Protection Plan: $350 (optional for full pay)
- Tuition Administrative Fee: $400 (not required for full pay)
- Middle School Class Trips: $600 - $1,500
- Middle School Athletic Fee: $100 - $200 per sport (participants only)
Financial Aid
Our Philosophy
We strive to provide resources to make our exceptional education affordable. Financial aid decisions are based on information applicant families provide to School and Student Services, an offering of the National Association of Independent Schools. Financial aid awards are made to qualified students who have enrolled. Awards are made by our Financial Aid Committee and are strictly confidential. Financial aid is funded by FWA and is awarded on a yearly basis with decisions made in April and May.
Applying for financial assistance has no impact on admission decisions.
To Apply for Financial Aid
Financial aid decisions are made by the Fort Worth Academy Financial Aid Committee and are strictly confidential. Fort Worth Academy funds financial aid and must be applied for annually. Please be aware that the amount available for financial aid is limited and is awarded to qualified recipients on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning families will not be considered for financial aid until their current year’s account is up to date.
Financial Aid Application and Deadlines
Log in or create a new account with Clarity, our third-party partner, to submit your need-based financial aid application and follow the easy steps. Their streamlined system automatically transfers your 1040 and W2 documents from the previous year, so you will not need to upload them manually. The deadlines for submitting your application are as follows:
Kindergarten, Early Decision: November 18, 2025
New Kindergarten Families: January 16, 2025
Current FWA families: January 30, 2026
New 1st-8th grade families: February 13, 2026
Submit and pay the application fee ($60). This fee is nonrefundable.
Before and After School Care
- Offered for all grades, K–8.
- Before School Care: $10/day for students arriving between 7:00 and 7:45 AM.
After School Care (a.k.a. Later Blazers) for Grades K-4: $15 per student flat rate. Available from 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM. (Lower School students not picked up by 3:15 PM will be sent to After Care and $15 charged to the family's account.)
- After School Study Hall for Grades 5-8: $15 per student flat rate. Available from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. (Middle School students not picked up by 3:30 will be sent to Study Hall and the family account charged $15.)
